Around 132 hectare of land which comes under 490 survey numbers in three taluks will have to be acquired for the project and the revenue officials will coordinate the work, said the district administration. As many as 40 from the Revenue Department will be posted at the special offices. The staff include tahasildar, deputy tahasildar, village officer, revenue inspector, surveyors, clerks, draftsmen, and attendants etc. The government has also sanctioned the appointment of staff to the posts required to coordinate the works. The office at Perumbavoor has already started functioning and the other at Muvattupuzha will become operational in a couple of days.Įarlier, the district administration submitted a proposal to the state government seeking restoration of the special offices in order to speed up the land acquisition formalities. The offices were closed a down a couple of years ago after the project hit a roadblock. District administration officers said steps have been taken to reopen the two special offices set up for the project.
